Mission  Statement

Founded in 2014, Leflore County Roller Derby (LCRD) was formed by people within the community to honor an age-old tradition, Roller Derby. The past tradition of Roller Derby is carried on through the young at heart, the courageous, the dedicated, the compassionate and the strong generation of today.

 

The Leflore County Roller Derby (LCRD) league consists of: Maidens of Mayhem (Women’s), Man Dudez (Men’s) and the Mayhem Machine (Coed). This league evolved in order for all varieties of people to come together, to develop lasting friendships, to create a healthier lifestyle, to gain a sense of purpose and to bring our community together through training, practices, bouts and fundraising. The bond does not end when the skates leave the track but continues on through professionalism, organization and by providing helping hands to others in our daily lives, which in return makes LCRD more than just a team. It makes LCRD an everlasting family.

 

PURPOSE

 

LCRD welcomes any woman or man who would like to be rolling with us on wheels or would like to become a Non-Skating Official (NSO) or a Referee from the age of eighteen (18) and over to come join a sport that values itself in sportsmanship, camaraderie, professionalism and unity. LCRD adheres to all rules and regulations provided by both the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) .

 

VISION

 

LCRD believes in giving back to our community through volunteering at social events, establishments and fundraisers just to name a few. Where The Maidens are  needed, The Maidens  will be there. We  strive  to incorporate all ages into the Roller Derby legacy through basic skating sessions and personal one-on-one time donated to demonstrate how amazing Roller Derby can be and is.
